A nice place missing some things

Overall, was a nice apartment. They appear newer but had some overall design and cleanliness issues that kept it from being a 5. The two sided bathroom mirror/medicine cabinet was missing one side so only a small half mirror. Not easy to get ready in and despite lots of wall space there were no additional mirrors or a full length mirror anywhere which would have been super helpful. The open shower wall design has caused some water issues on the floor and the bathroom had a mildew smell we noticed immediately and some very noticeable water damage/mildew along the bathroom wall and baseboards. A hair dryer is provided which is great but zero outlets in the bathroom to be able to use it while getting ready. So unless you like blow-drying your hair in the hallway or dining area with no mirror, there arent a lot of other options. Also, to no fault of the hotel we had 3 separate incidents of lost/drunk neighbors knocking on our door while we were sleeping. They left after we told them they had the wrong room but to happen 3 different times from different people was surprising. It was nice having a dining room, kitchen, and washer dryer. The perks of an apartment style hotel is really nice. Just some very odd design flaws. It served its main purpose as we dont spend a lot of time in our hotel and we had lots of space to feel more home like when we were there.

3rd time I’ve visited these apartments and every time it impresses me more Slick check in - in and out in 30 seconds. Brilliant parking underground and lifts into basement Apartment is trendy with a great shower , great pod coffee machine , fully equipped apartment Bed was super comfy , pillow were great. Curtains completely black out the rooms and not a sound was heard all evening despite seeing lots of people in and around Location is superb - less than a 5 min walk from hay market station , 5 min walk into the town centre. Lots of pubs and restaurants within 2 mins of location Great value for money and I highly recommend See you again soon guys

Stayed for 3 nights . We were upgraded for free which was lovely , brilliant location . 10 minute walk from tram and 15 min walk to town center. Staff from check in to meeting during stay are fantastic and super helpful and friendly. The apartment has everything you need right down to a bottle opener !We had a one bedroom apartment and so spacious. Bed super comfy , great wifi .. we would definitely stay again. A perfect base to see Edinburgh in a quiet area so you get a good nights sleep and no noise.

We booked a standard 1 bedroom apartment for a couple and their teen. Shortly before our stay we received a text inviting us to bid for an upgrade, but we didn't bother. Likewise we didn't check in in advance (but that was straightforward on arrival). We arrived by train and hired a car from the airport for the last 24 hours. Haymarket station is an easy walk from the apartment and it cost £4 on Brightbus to get to the airport. We were assigned an apartment in Block 2 of McEwan Sq, which seems to be part residential. Apartment 30 gets the sun(!) for a lot of the day, so we were glad of the fans provided. It might be rather too hot by the summer, but it would be possible to get a breeze through from the walkway and bedroom through the lounge. We parked for one night in the underground carpark (£14), accessed from the Grove St end of Brandfield St. It is shared with the tenants of the square(?), but Staycity places were clearly marked (spaces are on the small side if you have a big car). Getting in an out of Edinburgh by car from here was fairly straightforward. It was about a 15 minute walk to Grassmarket and beyond. It was clean and all the kit worked. The staff at the front desk were friendly and our neighbours were quiet. Yes, it isn't in the centre of things, but it was a convenient location for our needs.

5 ladies staying in an app within stay city and feeling very intimidated by the security guard who has approached our room recording us and putting his foot in our door for loud chat no music playing only 3 females drinking not dancing etc just chatting eating and drinking and being told this is first and final warning to be removed very aggressive please do not book just females as this has now ruined our time here
